Why work with Plenty?

Through connecting with Plenty for your creative services, you are supporting a small, local business/artist. Plenty has worked with a wide breadth of artists, institutions, and businesses and has first-hand experience that informs us on how we can best suit your project's needs.

Many can take decent images with their own cameras or even their phones these days, but professional attention to light, color, perspective, and file management alongside high-quality equipment will carry your art or space further, return your investment, and save you valuable time that could instead be used for the things that you enjoy or make you money!

What am I paying for?

Plenty's rates reflect the cost of running a small business including high end equipment, software, web hosting, marketing, insurance, office space, travel, time, education, self-employment tax, professional experience, and attention to detail.

Is it worth it? Can't I take my own photos?

Art

Grace is an artist too! And she knows how important it is to have high quality images for grant, exhibition, and employment applications; for your personal archive, website or promotions; and to share with your gallerist or collectors to sell online. These photographs are an investment that can get you work, opportunities, commissions, and sales for years to come.

She truly enjoys viewing your work and collaborating to create images that highlight its strengths and feel true to your vision.

Interior Architecture

If Grace weren’t an artist and a photographer, she’d be an interior architect/designer. She gets great joy through engaging with spaces, getting to know their individual personalities, understanding how people interact with them, and working to capture their stories.

She treats each assignment and space of its own. A real estate agent or home-sellers goals will be very different from those of an AirBnB host, and she ensures satisfying these needs while honoring each space's unique characteristics.

Studies have shown (according to a 2016 study by AirBnB), that professional photographs can increase your vacation rental earnings by 40%, bookings by 20%, and allow you to raise your price by about 26%. This is a huge pay off for a comparatively small investment.

How many hours will it take to photograph/edit my space?

Typically, a one bedroom home (depending on the size) takes 1 hour to photograph depending on the client's needs. The more photo-ready your space, the faster the process can be. We quote one hour of editing for every hour of shooting. For a more accurate quote, customized to your project, please contact Grace at workofplenty@gmail.com

Do I need to be there for the shoot?

Someone will need to be able to let the photographer into the space, tell them where the lighting controls are, and any other particular qualities unique to the property. This does not need to be the client, however, the client should be sure to communicate their goals for the images well ahead of time. This can include taking quick phone photos of the spaces you'd like highlighted, whether or not you want exterior shots or HDR edits, or images of other professional photographs that work in a style you admire.

After introductions and review of requests, please allow the photographer space to work. Doing it well takes intense concentration and for that the photographer needs to work alone most of the time.

How does scheduling work?

The shoot will be scheduled with you at a time that works for both parties taking weather into account. On a sunny day the blue sky is free and on a grey day it costs money to replace the grey sky in photoshop and may require a second visit depending on your window's views. Since photographers often have several appointments per day, please text the photographer of minor schedule changes or if you are running late. You will be e-mailed a photo ready check list ahead of time to get the property ready for the shoot.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Cash or check is preferred. Paypal, Venmo, or other digital payment methods may be accepted but require a 3% processing fee.
